National plaintiffs’ law firm Labaton Keller Sucharow is pleased to announce it has elected two new Partners, effective January 1, 2023.

The newly appointed Partners are:

  • Jake Bissell-Linsk focuses his practice on securities fraud class actions, including federal securities claims arising out of "going private" transactions.  Jake has litigated federal securities cases in jurisdictions across the country at both the District Court and Appellate Court level.  He is currently litigating cases against Lucid Motors and Lordstown Motors involving de-SPAC mergers in the automotive industry; Intelsat alleging insiders sold $246 million in stock shortly after learning the FTC would reject a bet-the-company deal; and Cronos alleging it improperly booked revenue from round-trip transactions for cannabis processing.  Jake has also played a pivotal role in securing favorable settlements for investors in a variety of securities class actions, including recent cases against Nielsen ($73 million settlement) and Mindbody ($9.75 million settlement), among others.
  • Brendan W. Sullivan focuses his practice on representing investors in corporate governance and transactional matters, including class action litigation.  He was part of the team that secured a historic $1 billion cash settlement, the largest recovery prior to judgment ever achieved in a fiduciary duty action in the Delaware Court of Chancery, in a suit against Dell Technologies arising from a $23.9 billion conversion of Class V stock in a controversial 2018 deal.  Brendan was also key in achieving a $79 million settlement in a suit against certain former officers and directors of Columbia Pipeline Group, Inc. and TransCanada Corporation, now known as TC Energy, alleging that the July 2016 acquisition of Columbia by TransCanada was unfair to Columbia stockholders and the product of breaches of fiduciary duty and aiding and abetting the same.  Brendan's pro bono work includes representing a Delaware charter school in a mediation concerning a malpractice claim against its former auditor.
