Labaton Keller Sucharow has been named Law Firm of the Year for its excellence in securities litigation, earning The National Law Journal’s coveted 2020 Elite Trial Lawyers Award. The award marks the second consecutive year the Firm has received the prestigious award and the third time overall. The NLJ’s annual Elite Trial Lawyers award honors the law firms that have demonstrated repeated success in cutting-edge work on behalf of plaintiffs.
The Firm’s pro bono immigration effort was also recognized as Law Firm of the Year in the immigration category. Since 2018, the Firm, working in collaboration with the Immigration Justice Campaign, has secured victories on behalf of asylum seekers across the world. In 2019, the team secured life-changing victories on behalf of asylum seekers from Cuba and Uganda.
Additionally, Carol Villegas, partner and co-chair of the Firm’s Women’s Initiative, was named to the publication’s Elite Women of the Plaintiffs Bar. This award celebrates women lawyers who have consistently excelled in high-stakes matters on behalf of plaintiffs over the course of their careers.
