William Shields is an Associate in the New York office of Labaton Keller Sucharow. William focuses his practice on litigating securities fraud class actions on behalf of institutional investors.
Prior to joining the Firm, William was an Associate at Bernstein Litowitz Berger & Grossman, specializing in securities fraud litigation. He previously worked as an Associate at Baker McKenzie, concentrating on litigation and government enforcement matters. Additionally, William served as a Law Clerk for the United States Sentencing Commission, Office of Legislative & Public Affairs, as well as an Intern in the Office of the Prosecutor for the United Nations’ International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia. William’s pro-bono experience includes involvement with immigration and federal civil rights.
William earned his Juris Doctor from The George Washington University Law School, where he was a member of the International Law Review. He was also active in Lambda Law and the GW Law Immigration Clinic. William earned his bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from Northeastern University.
